About This Game Shadows Peak is an atmospheric, open-world horror game focused on exploration that doesn't hold your hand. The main focus of the game is on the atmosphere, story, and exploration. Unlike most horror games, Shadows Peak allows you to explore large environments and progress through the game in a non-linear way.You play as the writer Tom Blair who has decided to visit a mysterious place called Shadows Peak to gather materials for a new book about legends. A number of people have gone missing in Shadows Peak. Some people claim that they saw something that they shouldn’t have been able to see there and, of course, there are some dark legends surrounding this place.Key FeaturesLarge environmentsNon-linear gameplayNo hand holdingMysterious storyHaunting atmosphereGamepad support for 50 controllers 1075eedd30 Title: Shadows PeakGenre: Action, AdventureDeveloper:Andrii VintsevychPublisher:Andrii VintsevychRelease Date: 13 Mar, 2017 Shadows Peak Free Download Key Serial Number shadows peak gameplay. shadows peak trainer. stonepeak shadows collection. lone peak shadows townhomes. shadows peak wiki. pinnacle peak shadows homes for sale. shadows of valhalla sneak peek. shadows peak gameplay. four shadows cody peak. shadows peak trailer. shadows peak test. shadows peak download. shadows peak pc. shadows of valhalla sneak peek. shadows peak guide. shadows peak game. no shadows cody peak. shadows peak steam. pinnacle peak shadows scottsdale. shadows peak pc download. pinnacle peak shadows scottsdale. shadows peak pc. lone peak shadows hoa. shadows peak pc download. shadows peak game. shadows peak walkthrough. pinnacle peak shadows hoa. stonepeak shadows collection. shadows peak wiki. shadows peak. shadows peak steam. lone peak shadows hoa. shadows peak. no shadows cody peak. shadows peak review. shadows peak test. lone peak shadows townhomes. shadows peak guide. shadows peak trainer. shadows peak walkthrough. pinnacle peak shadows hoa. shadows peak download. four shadows cody peak. pinnacle peak shadows homes for sale. shadows peak review. shadows peak trailer This game is terrifying. I've played quite a few horror games in my day, but I did not expect going into this to get so scared. So much of this has to do with the amazing visuals mixed with the ridiculously spooky audio (the sound effects mixed with that constant drone really help make the game spooky). It's a bit of an adventure/puzzle/mystery sort of game and it's a psychological horror, the dev totally screws with you a lot. The story thus far is interesting though, I'm interested to see more of what lies in Shadows Peak, it's a great atmosphere for making some spooky myths come to life. Would I recommend you buy this game? Yes. But only if you're sure you want to deal with waiting for another chapter to release for more content. $8 is a decent price for how much content this game currently has, but when future chapters are added it will be a steal. If you choose to wait for a sale, you won't be disappointed. If you'd like to get a taste of the first episode of this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJCTLOWX5rQ. A well designed environment and atmosphere, very moody and fun to explore with some nice touches and effects that are triggered by the players movement. I did get a little stuck running around areas I didn't have to be but after a glance at a walkthrough video, it became obvious what I had to do. Its an enjoyable game worth checking out, alot of unexpected things happened, especially that ending :D One bug I'd like to point out to the developers, is I was not able to re enter the cave, it said I need a flashlight even though I did have it equipped. great setting with a lot to discover and explore. Reccomended!. .. As a child of late 80s I feel like this has a theme that hasnt been explored enough videogame-wise. Nice music and sound, i like the surrondings as well. But gameplay and story.. Nope.To expensive as well, i manged to pick it up during a sale but i wouldnt recommend it for less then 80% off. you can get so many good games for the same amount of money. If it would have been cheaper maybe i could have recommend it.. Interesting experience featuring a clever change in protagonist and plot direction. I finished the game in five hours. I did get lost for a little while until reoriented as the wilderness can be hard to navigate if you leave the beaten path. I got this game with the Witch-Hunt bundle, (WH is awesome BTW) otherwise I probably would not have acquired Shadows Peak. Not really an FPS, although it has a few point and shoot moments. Mostly a sci fi-horror story where one location leads to another to advance the plot. The map is open but there are a couple methods employed to keep the player following the linear story: which is a good thing because its easy to head the wrong way in the dusky wooded environment. Also, expect to explore a couple caves along the way. I don't think there is enough game here to stand on its own, however as part of a bundle I am OK with it.. So I have finished the game. I gotta say I did not expect the game to be short since this is titled as an Open World Horror game. I thought the game would have a lot of stuff to do beside following the main quest. I got a bit dissapointed. It IS kind of an Open World game but, to be honest, the world isn't very big. I was roaming around the whole map and exploring, and I was also able to finish the game within a short period of time. The ghosts in this game are a bit creepy but you will get used to those once you explore a bit and encounter them frequently. The world does feel atmospheric. But overall, the ghosts/monsters are dissapointing. They did scare me a bit when I first encountered them but after exploring for a while I just got used to it and they did not look scary anymore. In fact, the 'monsters' in the Final Chapter looked funny. What will get you is the sounds that play when monsters see you.The story is okay. But it's just short. I was enjoying the game and it felt like the story ended so quickly. I am sure that if I did not explore and just followed the main quest, I might have finished the game earlier. The good thing is, the game won't tell you how to do your job. You have to find out everything by yourself. But then again, it is very easy. The map was useless. I hardly used the map. The whole game world does not have anything else besides popping up of the ghosts out of nowhere. The Boss fights are not challenging at all. You can kill them easily. It does not require any sorts of efforts. However, I am still going to recommend this game because it is made by an indie developer. This game is not perfect but definitely good for an indie game. The best thing about this game is that how well optimized it is. I did not experience any lag throughout the whole game. FPS never went below 55 and almost always stayed 60 without any problem. And I did enjoy playing it, I just wish if the story was longer. I don't know if the devs gonna add anything new because this game isn't in Early Access anymore. But I'm gonna support the dev and recommend this because it is a decent horror game and I am sure they will get even better with their future games. Besides, I got it on sale in a cheaper price so it is well worth the money. My ratings -Gameplay - 7/10Optimization - 9/10Story - 6/10. 30 minute review:I want to get the glitches out of the way at the top of the review. The game's walls and obstructions are oddly placed. There are points where you can scale the side of a mountain by pushing up, and others where you'll get sent flying over the island like Superman. As for the game itself... it has more in spirit to do with Slender than Outlast or Alien. You're caught on an island following a horrific vision, and the game doesn't do a good job of telling you why or what's happening. The tagline says the game won't hold your hand, but there's a difference between holding your hand and giving some basic guidance. The island is scattered with landmarks in Slender esque fashion without the beating drum of an ever present monster hunting you. However, some of the sites are freaky and will make it difficult for scaredy cats (me) to enter. I had one moment where I had to summon up the courage to run into a church. The surprise appearance of enemies will make for some scream inducing moments. Sound design is pretty good. Although there's not much in the way of music, the howls and distant screams are disturbing.Overall, I enjoy the game, but it needs some more polish. The world needs to be better walled so that you don't get sent flying around. Second, a bit more guidance would probably be useful, not only to get the game complete, but to put together a cohesive story. I have only the most vague idea of why I'm on the island or what I'm doing. As the gods of the internet demand, I have played this game while recording. I streamed it last night at four in the morning... a bad decision. Specifically, watch betwewen 21 mins and 24 mins for the big scream... and an interesting glitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb0Lr2XG0BU. Scary open world horror with good atmosphere.. Interesting experience featuring a clever change in protagonist and plot direction. I finished the game in five hours. This game just tries do be something that it isn't. btw it took me 30 min to complete. As some of you may know as much as I love playing games on my PC I also have quite a lot of time for the console exclusive titles. One of my favorite games of 2015 was Supermassive Games’ Until Dawn. Ainslie and I played the♥♥♥♥♥♥out of that game. It hooked both of us together and we sat on her couch playing it for many many hours and made a lot of shared decisions to see how our playthrough would advance. It was one of the best gaming experiences the two of us have shared together. I was not expecting to find another horror game that would be comparable to that experience wise for a long time. That’s why when I found myself fortunate enough to play Andrii Vintsevych’s Shadows Peak I was more than a little bit surprised and deeply absorbed in its early access game play.Jim Sterling, who I am very much a fan of, recently published a 34-minute video on the game and in his summation he believed that the game was “worth keeping an eye on” and that it was an “early access game with promise.” That’s putting it a little mildly. Everything that I have played thus far has shown that the game has high production values across the board. It’s one of the first open world games that I’ve played that genuinely doesn’t guide you as though it really does want to be an on rails experience. I’m sure some players will disagree and claim that you have to go to certain places to unlock certain things before you can progress further – and that may ultimately be true – but you can easily spend a significant amount of time taking everything in and not feel as though you were somewhere you weren’t yet meant to be or when you stumble across something that you feel like a dumby for not having found it much sooner. In that respect it is a near flawless open world experience. Then there are the constant spirit invasions that are a cross between a jump scare and a genuine paranormal experience. I’m not such a big fan of jump scares because more often than not they are poorly done and demonstrate an inability on the part of the developer to be unable to frighten the player genuinely. However, when they are done right which they are here they leave me considering their context and the deeper meaning of what I have just witnessed. I suppose in some ways good jump scares can be a part of a psychological horror. In that regard Shadows Peak has me spooked but to the point that I am deeply intrigued into what will happen next and not an “ARGH! You got me! You stupid game!” type of way.I adore the graphics that were utilized in this game. They are heavily atmospheric and are well thought out which is a continuing theme throughout the game. Here’s a non-spoiler screen shot from very early in the game that makes a good representation of what I found stunning graphically and atmospherically. Do note that the blurriness in the picture is as intended by the developer for the particular part of the game that this comes from. Other screenshots of the game provide more clarity.Shadows Peak could become a must own and play title when it is ready for its launch out of Early Access. As it is it is still a game that I highly recommend for the horror-adventure lover in all of us.Visit Steamified[www.steamified.com] for more reviews and our epic giveaways
